Social disorganization theory concludes that those who come from impoverished neighborhoods are more likely to commit crime. The social bond theory states that those with low levels of commitment, attachment, involvement, and beliefs are more likely to commit crime.Social disorganization may have a more detrimental outcome on those who are unaware or uneducated about the theory. This theory is something that every human being has encountered no matter where they reside and what their economic status may be. The focus of this paper will revolve around social disorganization theory as a whole.Social Disorganization Theory was created by two sociologists, Clifford Shaw and Henry McKay who were connected to the University of Chicago. Due to the social problems afflicting Chicago, Shaw and McKay examined the predominant rates crime and delinquency (Wong).
